Abstract

The editors have compiled a series of both short and lengthy essays into the form of a “dictionary.” “Encyclopedic dictionary” might have been a more apt title, because it is not a dictionary of terms in the standard sense. Some definitions are offered in the articles, but for the most part the entries are short essays on a given topic.
