Abstract

Comments on M. Henle's (see record 1979-00024-001) criticism of F. Perls. Henle neglects the major source (Perls et al, 1951) of Gestalt therapy and instead quotes at length from Perl's (1970) whimisical autobiography. Although Perls failed to achieve his goal of constructing an existential therapy based on the Gestalt psychological model, his work deserves to be explored by scholars as a rich arena of new ideas.
