Abstract

Claims that L. Zusne (see record 1979-24124-001) did not necessarily have compelling theoretical reasons for choosing to use the harmonic mean (HM) to examine the relationship between age and achievement among psychologists. Simple alternative models appear able to predict the age at which the most significant work is published as well as, or even better than, the HM.
