Abstract

A successful cardiac resuscitation following cardiac arrest induced by 12 gm. of lincomycin is reported. The salient features of the arrest included refractoriness to resuscitation and prolonged muscle relaxation. Experimental evaluation of lincomycin in dogs revealed a quinidine-like effect on cardiac excitability and conduction.
