Accessible summaryThis article is about a computer course for adults with disabilities, called ‘IT Skills for Modern Day Living’.IT stands for Information Technology and means how computers can be used.In the course, people learn about how to use computers in their ordinary daily routine.The course takes place at Enable Ireland's day services centre in Limerick. Enable Ireland provides supports to children and adults with disabilities and their families.There are five modules. After the students have been introduced to computers, they learn about how to stay safe when using the internet, for example on a social networking site. Students also learn how to write letters on the computer and how to upload pictures from a digital camera or mobile phone.
