Abstract

The Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK) has developed a new accredited training programme in aesthetic dentistry. Running from April 2008, the advanced postgraduate certificate in aesthetic dentistry is an 18-month master's level course, aimed at general dental practitioners (GDPs) who wish to follow a training pathway that leads to a formal assessment and a recognised qualification. The programme will be delivered by experienced practitioners and is designed to bring together the fundamental elements of a modern aesthetic dental practice, combining a high level of theoretical and clinical teaching.
