Abstract

COMBINATION CHEMOTHERAPY is reportedly achieving increasing effectiveness in advanced breast cancer. A retrospective review of published information reveals that the status of prior cytotoxic treatment, probably performance status and/or type of metastatic involvement, and possibly age of the patient appear to be the most relevant factors modulating the response to combination chemotherapy. It is suggested that data reports should further detail results by potential prognostic factors in complete responders.
