In this review, an approch to the optimal management of paroxysmal supeaventricular tachycardia in infants and children is dicussed by considering four factors: the presenting symptoms, the natural history of the tachycardia, the results of the various treatment altermatives, and the risks and benefits of all management. The review includes optimal managment algorithms for infants and small children as well as for older children.
