Abstract

The expression of the sialyl Lewis x antigen (sLex) on surgical specimens of primary gastric cancer corre-lates with the degree of differentiation and synchronous and metachronous liver metastasis. Multivariate analysis by means of Quantification theory II revealed that sLex expression was an independent risk factor for liver metastasis from gastric cancer.
