Abstract

Synopsis:Low-dose hydrocortisone therapy does not decrease mortality in patients who did or did not have a response to corticotropin, which is a reversal of previous study outcomes. Hydrocortisone does reverse shock faster but there may be an associated increase in secondary infections.Source:Sprung CL, Annane D, Keh D, et al.
