Abstract

Pericardial effusion is an uncommon finding in hypothyroidism. A 36-year-old man was noted to have a large pericardial effusion secondary to severe hypothyroidism. He was successfully treated synthroid and gradual disappearance of the pericardial effusion was noted on follow-up examinations.
