Abstract

A 71-year-old woman had a radionuclide ventriculogram for an evaluation of increasing shortness of breath. The scan depicted “pure” right-sided ventricular dilatation with a decreased ejection fraction secondary to multiple pulmonary emboli. This was confirmed by a ventilation/perfusion lung scan.
