Abstract

A 79-year-old woman underwent cardiac bypass surgery for three vessel disease. Three years later she was admitted to the hospital because of atypical chest pain. Myocardial imaging revealed retrocardiac uptake of intravenously administered Tc-99m sestamibi. This was due to a hiatal hernia which had accumulated the radiotracer.
