A 57-year-old man who underwent cystectomy and ureterosigmoidostomy because of bladder cancer 5 years earlier showed increased uptake in the left side of the abdomen on Tc-99m MAG3 renal imaging, which simulated left ureteral reflux. An intravenous pyelogram showed passage of urine to the descending and sigmoid colon and reflux of the contrast material. The cause of the activity in the left side of the abdomen was radiopharmaceutical reflux to the descending colon.
