Abstract

Abstract:

F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG PET) imaging is a useful modality in detecting various tumors, including malignant bone and soft tissue tumors. We evaluated a patient with a recurrent neuroectodermal tumor (PNET) using F-18 FDG PET imaging and detected abnormal increased uptake in the abdomen. These results suggest that F-18 FDG PET imaging may be useful in detecting the primary and metastatic lesions of PNET.
