Abstract

Hypothesized that mice from a specific population maintain a constant level of daily sucrose intake without regard to alternative sucrose concentrations. In Exp. I 10 pairs of concentrations (0-60%) were given to independent groups of 10 Ss for 4 days. In Exp. II 3 pairs of solutions (30, 45; 30, 60; and 45%, 60%) were available to 59 Ss in a repeated measurements design. In Exp. III single bottles of 30 or 60% sucrose were alternated. Sucrose concentration was not found to be a significant variable affecting absolute sucrose intake. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
