Abstract

A simulation procedure is designed for the electromagnetic field on infinitely extended hollow cylindrical conductors enclosed in a thin dielectric layer and embedded in a conducting ground. The surrounding medium consists of two half-spaces representing the air and the ground. The source is an external transverse alternating linear current. The electromagnetic field is computed by solving two one-dimensional integral equations of the second kind for which an efficient algorithm is available.
