Abstract summaryIn this study, thermosensitive hydrogels were prepared and the stability and degradation time was controlled by the introduction of additional covalent cross-links using photopolymerization. A good viability and differentiation of goat mesenchymal stem cells seeded on the hydrogel surface or encapsulated within the gel was demonstrated. It is concluded, that the photopolymerized thermosensitive hydrogels can be regarded as very attractive materials for tissue engineering applications.
