Abstract

Recently, nanofibrous scaffolds have received considerable attention in the field of tissue engineering, since their resemblance to the natural extracellular matrix component collagen may enable the development of more biomimetic scaffolds for tissue formation. In this study, self-assembled nanofiber scaffolds formed by low molecular weight gelators based on a 1,3,5-triamide cis,cis-cyclohexane core are evaluated for their potential use as scaffolds for three dimensional tissue culture.
