Abstract

There remain many controversial areas regarding instability of the glenohumeral joint. These continue to include the “essential lesion,” the pathomechanics, the appropriate method of reconstruction, the role of arthroscopy, and especially, the indications for arthroscopic stabilization. The highlights of recent articles on these issues are reviewed.
