Abstract

The recent literature pertaining to reconstructive osteotomies about the hip is reviewed. In younger patients, several alternative treatment options are available for the management of early onset osteoarthritis. Due to concern for long-term bone loss in young patients following failed total hip arthroplasty, a greater impetus toward the use of joint preserving procedures has arisen.
