The case report by Drs. Ho and Lim (1) was interesting. The authors’ statement that femoral nerve palsy after femoral vein puncture has not been previously reported is incorrect. Fuchs et al. (2) reported one case of reversible femoral nerve damage in their analysis of 5306 percutaneous femoral vein catheterizations by using the Seldinger technique. As the authors have noted, this complication is more common in femoral artery cannulations.
