A variety of different techniques has been described for reconstruction of postauricular defects, including skin grafts and local or distant flaps.1,2 Many local options involve extensive undermining, often into the hair-bearing portions of the scalp. Other flap options, which borrow tissue from local donor areas, can create unsightly dog ears and/or require skin grafts to close flap donor sites. The bilobed flap is a well-described technique used to transfer local tissue while simultaneously minimizing donor-site deformity.3 We describe a novel technique for posterior auricular resurfacing with a bilobed flap, making use of readily available cervical donor skin.
