Scabies and head lice: Update for the 1990s

Abstract

Scabies and lice cause bothersome symptoms among millions of children each year. This article outlines the epidemiology of these infestations, the biology of the parasites, and the clinical clues for suspecting these diseases. Early diagnosis and institution of appropriate treatment will cure these infestations and prevent spread to others.
