Abstract

A review of recent studies suggesting that both the serotonin and dopamine neuronal systems may contribute to the treatment and pathophysiology of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Drug treatment studies, neuropharmacologic investigations, brain imaging results, and the relationship between obsessive-compulsive disorder and affective disorders are explored.
