Abstract
A bile leak is defined as an accumulation of radiotracer outside of the normal distribution in hepatobiliary imaging. A patient with a history of cholecyslectomy underwent Tc-99m DISIDA imaging, which showed radiotracer accumulation in the gallbladder bed mimicking normal visualization of the gallbladder within 1 hour; the area of activity was then dispersed along the inferior border of the liver in the 3-hour image. Subsequent exploratory laparotomy confirmed bile leakage.
