Siemens Medical Systems, Inc. Nuclear Medicine Group has announced the launch of its new Siemens Remanufactured Product (SRP) line and rededicated the Siemens Camera Remanufacturing Center (CRC) located within its Hoffman Estates manufacturing facility. Along with the SRP line, Siemens is also introducing the SRP mark as an easily recognizable symbol of quality and value assurance for customers purchasing experienced, but better-than-when-new gamma cameras.
SRP gamma cameras undergo a complete and painstakingly thorough technical overhaul in a series of steps that mirror the original manufacturing process. Because SRP cameras are processed in the same place they were originally manufactured, with the same skills and concern for quality and safety, Siemens believes SRP cameras are truly remanufactured, not refurbished or repaired. In fact, SRP cameras emerge better than when they were sold because each one is brought up to current performance and accuracy specifications with state-of-the-art detectors, and the latest electronics and other components.
The goal is to provide customers an affordable alternative to new cameras without compromising image resolution or diagnostic accuracy. To date, 90 customers have been provided with Siemens Remanufactured Products.
Each camera earmarked for remanufacturing undergoes a seven-step process that truly makes it newer, safer, and a better performing camera.
Each SRP system is covered under a one-year standard warranty. The crystal is warranted for three years.
