Abstract

This case illustrates a blocked lymphatic collecting vessel on lymphoscintigraphy which was passing toward the right groin in the absence of any palpable abnormality in the right groin. No sentinel node was therefore seen in the right groin but sentinel nodes were seen in the left groin and left axilla. High resolution ultrasound was normal except for the right groin where a subcapsular lymph node metastasis was suspected. Fine needle biopsy under ultrasound control revealed melanoma metastasis.
