APOLIPOPROTEIN E GENOTYPE AND GLASGOW COMA SCORE AFTER SEVERE TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY.: 189-M
Sheila A Alexander; Yvette Conley; Kevin Walter
Excerpt
Presence of the apolipoprotein E (APOE) ε4 allele has been associated with poor outcome after traumatic brain injury (TBI). While the mechanism by which the APOE ε4 allele influences recovery from TBI is unknown, the association between genotype and initial severity of injury has not been fully explored.
