RASMUSSEN, B. B., and S. M. PHILLIPS. Contractile and nutritional regulation of human muscle growth. Exerc. Sport Sci. Rev., Vol. 31, No. 3, pp. 127–131, 2003. The focus of this review is on the regulation of muscle anabolism in humans after resistance exercise, nutritional provision, and a combination of the two.
