Physicians sometimes forget nongastrointestinal causes of abdominal pain. Vet, abdominal pain was the major complaint of three patients with ureteropelvic junction obstruction (UPJ). Definitive diagnosis can be made either by a “hydration” intravenous pyelogram or by an intravenous pyelogram during an attack.
