New ESH Hypertension Excellence Centers approved

In April 2007, the ESH Scientific Council has approved 65 centers in the first round of applicants, representing 13 European countries. The list of ESH Hypertension Excellence Centers was published in the Journal of Hypertension (J Hypertens 2007; 25:1744–1748) and displayed on the ESH Website (www.eshonline.org). Official certificates were handed to the heads of these centers during the 17th European Meeting on Hypertension in Milan. New applications to become a Centre of Excellence received before 31 December 2007, were evaluated by the ESH Scientific Council in March 2008. Twenty-two new centers from 14 countries were approved (see the list below). Heads of the ESH Centers of Excellence will be invited to a special workshop during the 2009 ESH Meeting in Milan.
