Researchers from underdeveloped countries interested in having the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine sponsor them at next year's annual meeting, should submit an application by January 1, 1999.
An application letter needs to specify the area of research, and a list of publications has to be included with a curriculum vitae, along with two letters of recommendation. Other requirements include two letters of sponsorship and an abstract of a paper or poster for presentation a the annual meeting in Hawaii on June 21-25, 1999.
Applicants must have a proven interest in clinical spine- or nonclinical spine-related research. Five sets of application materials should be sent to:
