Excerpt
Exercise-induced Bronchoconstriction (EIB) has a high prevalence in elite athletes and has been shown to be strongly associated with atopy, however the actual pathogenesis of EIB remains unknown. Eosinophils are cells known to be associated with the development of both asthma and atopy, bbut their role in EIB has not been defined.
