The Berg Pediatric Balance Scale (BPBS) was developed by physical therapists as a functional balance tool to measure the elements of postural control that allows a child to safely perform everyday tasks in school. Though the BPBS has demonstrated good test-retest reliability when used on school-aged children (ages 5–15) with mild to moderate disabilities its validity has yet been established on this age group.
