Abstract

ABSTRACT

Electrophysiological and fixation preference techniques have been used in the laboratory to assess numerous visual functions in infants. However, the laboratory situation is considerably different from the clinical setting. A modification of the procedures developed in the laboratory is required before they may be applied to the routine clinical examination of infants. This paper reviews these issues.
