Excerpt

Serious complications have been reported with the forearm radial flap, such as ischemic necrosis, distal digital necrosis, decreased power grip, and pain and chronic oedema of the hand. This flap is essentially vascularised by septo-cutaneous perforators originated from the radial artery. The goal of this study was to explore the cutaneous territories vascularised by these perforators, with the idea that such radial perforators flaps could be applied in clinics, with no sacrifice of the radial artery.
