Excerpt

Choroidal malignant melanoma has a tendency to transgress Bruch membrane and assume a mushroom shape. 1 Such a growth pattern is frequently seen with uveal melanoma but is exceedingly rare with other neoplasms. We report a clinicopathologic correlation of a choroidal metastasis from lung cancer that assumed a mushroom shape, similar to that seen with choroidal melanoma.
