We refer with interest to the article by Drs Bakri and Ekdawi1 reporting intravitreal silicone oil droplets after intravitreal injections, mainly anti vascular endothelial growth factor agents. These were noted after a varying number of intravitreal injections during routine evaluation. Interestingly, they note that none of their cases had this after intravitreal triamcinolone (IVTA) injection alone. We would like to share two cases where numerous such droplets were noted after IVTA injection alone.
