Abstract

Over the past few years urethral stents and, in particular, the UroLume endoprosthesis have received much attention as attractive alternatives to more invasive procedures in the management of recurrent bulbar urethral stricture disease and symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia. This review will examine the early results obtained with urethral stents in the treatment of both of these conditions.
