Orchiopexy and infertility

Abstract

Much has been learned recently with the histology of cryptorchid testes in relation to expected fertility. There are also opportunities to treat a deficient count prepubertally with hormone stimulation. Localization of testes with laparoscopy is currently in vogue and a new laparoscopic-assisted orchiopexy has been proposed. A review of these findings follows.
