In the article “Simian Immunodeficiency Viruses from Multiple lineages Infect Human Macrophages: Implications for Cross-Species Transmission” by Grimm et al (J Acquir Immune Defic Syndr. 2003:32:362–369.), on page 367, in the second column, the paragraph that reads “Our observation that all four isolates from L'Hoest monkeys….Alternatively, since the donors selected for use in the previous study lived in an area where SIVmndGri is known to be endemic and secretion of HIV suppressive factors from CD8+ T cells is associated with prior virus exposure (46), it is possible that the donors in the previous study had been exposed but not infected with the virus.” should read “Our observation that all four isolates from L'Hoest monkeys….
