Thank you for your interest in and commitment to youth strength and conditioning. We were honored to work with such an esteemed group of authors, all of whom are committed to bridging the gap between science to practice for the development of all youth. We were pleasantly surprised to receive so many high-quality manuscripts for this issue and sincerely thank everyone who submitted a manuscript for consideration. We are pleased that this issue has succeeded in covering a wide variety of current topics within youth strength and conditioning, including bio-banding, sport specialization, implementing games, speed development, and precision sports medicine.
In addition to this special issue of SCJ, we invite you to use NSCA Youth resources and services, such as the Youth Special Interest Group https://www.nsca.com/membership/member-tools/special-interest-groups/#sig_15 and the webpages of information on Long-Term Athletic Development https://www.nsca.com/youth_training_and_long-term_athletic_development/.
Special thank you to Britt Chandler and Jeff Chandler, who work tirelessly to produce the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Journal to help practitioners and researchers remain updated with the latest knowledge in the field. We hope that you enjoy the following pages that are dedicated to the development of youth, and are able to apply relevant content to your current and future work.
