Excerpt

The concept of simulator repeatability and a means for quantifying it are introduced by Cumin et al1 in this issue. The authors evaluated different methods of objectively evaluating simulator output repeatability and recommended the Median Absolute Performance Error (MDAPE) method based on their analysis; 2 simulators, a screen-based simulator (Anesthesia Simulator, Anesoft), and a high-integration mannequin patient simulator (Human Patient Simulator, HPS, CAE/METI) were evaluated for repeatability.
