Abstract

The tissue engineering scaffold materials provide not only a structural support for cell adhesion, proliferation, and new bone formation, but also play a template role in guiding tissue regeneration and controlling tissue structure. Looking for a scaffold material with good biocompatibility, biodegradability, and specific shape is importance for bone tissue engineering research. This article was designed to explore natural polymer materials, artificial synthetic polymer materials, inorganic materials, and composite materials, to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of those materials, and to predict the developing tendency of bone tissue engineering scaffold materials.
