In a previous study by the author (1978), 4-mo-old babies who were habituated to a single hue discriminated a change in hue. In the present study with 2 groups of 8 4-mo-olds, Ss who were habituated to a variety of hues generalized habituation to a novel hue. Infant behavior following homogeneous and heterogeneous habituation experience is compared. (1 ref) (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)
