Abstract

♦ A review of select research findings on the pharmacologic and technological approaches of a variety of conditions treated in the practice of pain medicine. These studies address recent advances in the relief of non-cancer pain, surgical and postoperative pain, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis with co-existing insomnia, cancer-related breakthrough pain, painful dermatologic procedures, and a minimally invasive approach to relieve complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) and other chronic lower back or leg pain conditions.
