Abstract

Women with urinary incontinence may have symptoms of urgency, stress or mixed urinary incontinence. First-line treatment includes pelvic floor muscle exercises and bladder retraining. Antimuscarinics are used to treat urgency incontinence and the serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor duloxetine is indicated for stress incontinence.
