Evidence-Based Answer

Probably not. Male sexual partners of females with human papillomavirus (HPV) do not appear to reliably develop penile histological changes or co-infections with the same viral type (SOR: C, cross-sectional and prospective cohort studies, disease-oriented evidence). HPV screening may lead to false-positive results and unnecessary biopsies (SOR: C, expert opinion).
