Abstract

EVIDENCE-BASED ANSWER

Probably. A Mediterranean dietary pattern is associated with a 10% lower risk in cancer mortality/incidence (SOR: B, systematic review of cohort and case-control studies). Compared with a cardiac prudent diet, a Mediterranean diet has a tendency toward decreased new cancer diagnoses (SOR: B, RCT).
